On May 3, 2024 – Diamond Homes Limited showcased their team spirit and competitive prowess at the annual PlaceMakers Badminton Charity Tournament held at the Auckland Badminton Center, Epsom, Auckland. Under the leadership of company director David Wang, a nine-member team participated in the event, showcasing sportsmanship towards a noble cause.

The tournament was more than a display of athletic skills; it was also a charitable event aimed at raising funds for two children's charities: l Am Hope & Ronald McDonald House. Participants and spectators enjoyed an array of dining options, including a delightful lunch, ensuring a festive atmosphere throughout the competition.

Diamond Homes Limited entered the tournament with their nine representatives split into four pairs. The morning session saw these groups engage in round-robin matches, creating a spirited yet friendly environment. After a fierce morning competition, three of Diamond Homes' teams advanced to the top sixteen, demonstrating the employees' exemplary skills both in their professional fields and on the sports court.

The afternoon session shifted to a knockout stage, intensifying the competition. Despite facing formidable opponents, the Diamond Homes team exhibited remarkable teamwork and athletic skills, buoyed by constant cheers and support from their colleagues. Although not all teams advanced to the final stages, the participants expressed great pride and honor in contributing to the charitable cause and are eager to engage in similar activities in the future.

As the event concluded successfully, organizers commended all participants for their excellent performances and expressed anticipation for more corporate involvement in next year’s tournament, which promises to blend competitiveness with charity.
